Adding and deleting accounts

Adding accounts

Consume can monitor as many accounts as you like. To add a new account, please follow the instructions below.

Consume for iPhone:

  • Ensure you’re signed up for online services, if your provider requires you to do so (info). Please also check that you can log into your provider’s website. If you can’t log in, neither can Consume.
  • Open Consume.
  • Tap the cog icon to open Settings.
  • Tap Add An Account.
  • Tap the name of your country, provider type and provider.
  • Enter all the required details, as indicated with a *. Consume will autofill the other details (if your account usage isn’t showing correctly, then you can fill in all the additional details).
  • Tap Save.

Consume for iPad:

  • Ensure you’re signed up for online services, if your provider requires you to do so (info). Please also check that you can log into your provider’s website. If you can’t log in, neither can Consume.
  • Open Consume.
  • Tap +.
  • Tap the name of your country, provider type and provider.
  • Enter all the required details, as indicated with a *. Consume will autofill the other details (if your account usage isn’t showing correctly, then you can fill in all the additional details).
  • Tap Save.

Deleting accounts

Consume for iPhone:

  • Tap the cog icon to open Settings.
  • Tap Edit.
  • Tap the red (-) icon to the left of the provider you’d like to delete.
  • Tap Delete.

Consume for iPad:

  • Rotate your iPad so it’s in landscape orientation.
  • Tap the Edit button (it’s at the top left of the screen).
  • Tap the red (x) icon to the left of the provider you’d like to delete.

Details glossary

Display Name — The label that appears at the top of the usage page. If left blank, this will be the provider’s name.

Username — Either your account username or a mobile number, depending on the provider.

Password — Your account password. If you don’t know your password, please contact your provider.

PIN — As additional security, some providers have a PIN number. If you don’t know your PIN, please contact your provider.

Phone Number — Your mobile number, or your 3G modem’s service number (3G modems usually have SIM cards in them, just like mobile phones). Please enter your local number (ie. 0412 345 678) with no international codes. Sometimes Phone Number is optional. However, if you have multiple numbers on the one account, please make sure you enter phone number.

Rollover Date — The day of the month that your account usage gets reset. This is a number between 1 and 31.

Call Quota ($) — Your call quota in dollars (or your currency) for the month.

Data Quota (MB) — Your data quota in megabytes for the month. 30GB would be entered as 30000.

Peak Quota (MB) — Your peak hours data quota in megabytes for the month.

Off-Peak Quota (MB) — Your off-peak hours data quota in megabytes for the month.
