Getting started with Darkness

Thanks for spending some time to get more familiar with Darkness. Darkness is an advanced world clock with some unique and interesting features. See the time for sunrise, solar noon, sunset, moonrise and moonset for any city in the world on any date... and a whole lot more.

Potential uses

If you’re a photographer, you can use Darkness to work out where the sun or moon will be in the sky on any day at any time, present and past. Darkness will also tell you the time solar noon occurs, giving you the time of the day for the shortest shadows.

If you’re a CEO, you can use Darkness to plan important meetings that span the entire globe, by seeing what time it is or will be for any other city on any date or time.

If you’re a student, you can use Darkness to cheat on your Geography exam.

If you’re a witch, sorcerer, werewolf or creature of the night, you can use Darkness to work out when the next full moon is.

If you’re planning a mission to the moon, you can use Darkness to work out the day and time it’ll be the shortest distance to travel (fuel prices are pretty high these days).

Or maybe you’d just like to find out what moon phase it was during Apollo 11’s moon landing in 1969.
