Traceroute

Traceroute is a network tool used to determine the route taken by packets across an IP network (more information is available on wikipedia).

To use iStat’s traceroute, tap the icon that’s second from the left on the Servers list, then enter a hostname or IP address in the text field. Tap Trace to start.

A history of the last 10 hostnames and IP addresses used is kept so you don’t have to re-enter the common servers you test. Tap history to see the history. When viewing the history, tap Clear to remove all the items in the history.

Tap Close to go back to the Servers list.
