Clearing the history database

If the history graphs in iStat Menus are not showing anything, it is possible there is an issue with the history databases. Deleting the history databases can fix the problem.

To do so, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/iStat Menus/databases/ in the Finder (this can be done by pressing ⇧⌘G and pasting the path). Please note that ~/Library/ is the user library, not the system library.
  2. Drag iStatMenusStatus.db to the trash.
  3. Press the pause button in iStat Menus (new the top left of the main window).
  4. Press the play button in iStat Menus.

Mac App Store version #

If you’re running the Mac App Store version of iStat Menus, the path is slightly different. Please follow these steps instead:

  1. Navigate to ~/Library/Containers/Y93TK974AT.com.bjango.istatmenus.status.mas/Data/Library/Application Support/iStat Menus/databases/ in the Finder (this can be done by pressing ⇧⌘G and pasting the path). Please note that ~/Library/ is the user library, not the system library.
  2. Drag iStatMenusStatus.db to the trash.
  3. Press the pause button in iStat Menus (new the top left of the main window).
  4. Press the play button in iStat Menus.

If the history graphs are still blank after deleting the history database, please get in touch.
