Skala Preview and Fireworks

Skala Preview can work with Fireworks in a couple of different ways. If Skala Preview is set to Send All Images on Clipboard, then anything you copy in Fireworks will get sent to your connected iOS devices. If you’d only like to send iOS sized images on the clipboard, then please choose Send iOS Sized Images on Clipboard from the Transfer menu.

The Copy Merged Fireworks plugin is a great way to copy the entire canvas. Once the entire canvas is on the clipboard, Skala Preview will send it to your iOS device.

Please note that Fireworks doesn’t export the clipboard until you switch to another app (we assume this is done for performance reasons). To preview your mock up on your iOS device, you’ll need to copy your entire canvas to the clipboard, then switch to another app.

Alternatively, you can also drag most image files to Skala Preview’s window. Skala Preview does support Fireworks native PNG files.

Skala Preview monitors dragged files — if you hit save in Fireworks, the file will be resent to your iOS device.
